Nivea Winter Drive Competition Terms and Conditions

  1. The promoter is Beiersdorf/Nivea (“the Promoter”).
  2. This promotional competition (“Competition”) is open to all South African residents of 18 (eighteen) years and older, residing in South Africa, who are in possession of a valid identity document, passport, or other documentary proof of South African residency. Any director, member, partner, employee, agent or consultant of the Promoter or Shoprite Checkers (Pty) Ltd, the marketing service providers, suppliers, distributors, or any person who directly or indirectly controls or is controlled by these entities, including their spouses, life partners, business partners or immediate family members may not enter or participate in the Competition and will be disqualified from receiving a prize.
  3. This Competition will start on 15 April 2024 (“start date”) and end on 11 August 2024 (“closing date”). The period from the Competition start date to closing date is referred to as the “Campaign Period”. Any entries received after the closing date will not be considered.
  4. To enter the Competition a participant must purchase any 1 (one) Nivea body lotion or cream in-store, from any Shoprite store nationwide and swipe their Xtra Savings card.
  5. Participants may enter as many times as they wish, provided that each entry is associated with a separate purchase. The Promoter or its representatives may block participants from winning a prize or submitting further entries if fraud or code manipulation is suspected.
  6. The first 500 (five hundred) participants will be guaranteed winners and thereafter 10 (ten) winners will be randomly selected each day over the Campaign Period, who will each receive up to the value of R300.00 (three hundred rand) off their shopping basket instantly at the till point.
  7. All participants understand and agree that they may win a prize, but there is no guarantee that they will win a prize.
  8. The details of the prize will be entirely at the Promoter’s discretion – the winners will not be entitled to choose their prize.

  10. By entering this Competition and as a condition to receive a prize, participants:
    10.1 Consent to the processing of their personal information by Shoprite Checkers (Pty) Ltd, the Promoter and its service providers, insofar that it is necessary to give effect to the Competition, for example to view the entries, select and announce the winners publicly and deliver the prizes. The winners will be given the opportunity to consent to further processing of their personal information;
    10.2 Where applicable, waive their moral rights and grant Shoprite Checkers (Pty) Ltd and the Promoter exclusive, unlimited, perpetual, and free of charge copyright and usage (in any territory where these entities trade), in all media forms of all material, text and intellectual property created and/or published/posted by the participants in the submission of their competition entry. Shoprite Checkers (Pty) Ltd and the Promoter will be entitled to use and edit the intellectual property in any manner and in its sole discretion, for an indefinite period of time and in any territory where it trades. Participants will not during or after the closing date of the Competition dispute or question such copyright and usage;
    10.3 Where applicable, waive any right to demand royalties, usage fees or any other form of compensation or payment for the use of intellectual property in the participant’s entry;
    10.4 Sign an acknowledgment of receipt form and provide all relevant information requested by the Promoter’s representatives, including but not limited to the winners’ full names, ID number, contact details; and
    10.5 Consent that their names be announced publicly by Shoprite Checkers (Pty) Ltd and the Promoter on any platform that they deem fit.
  11. Neither Shoprite Checkers (Pty) Ltd, the Promoter nor its agents or suppliers will be liable for the failure of any technical element relating to this Competition that may result in an entry not being successfully submitted, or if the prize is unsuccessful.
  12. The Promoter in its sole discretion is entitled to disqualify a winner:
    12.1 Who has won a prize in a competition conducted by the Promoter or Shoprite Checkers (Pty) Ltd during the last 3 (three) months before the winners of this Competition is drawn; or
    12.2 Who at any time does not act in accordance with the spirit of the Competition, or if fraud or cheating is suspected, including without limitation, through the manipulation of code or falsifying of data.
  13. No applications from agents, third parties, organised groups or applications automatically generated by computer will be accepted. No incomplete or corrupted entries will be accepted. Entries will only be accepted if they comply with all entry instructions.
  14. Prizes are not transferable and may not be deferred or exchanged for cash, credit or otherwise.
  15. The Promoter is entitled to change or terminate the Competition and/or prizes immediately and without notice, if deemed necessary in its sole discretion. In the event of such a change or termination, participants agree to waive any rights that they have in respect of this Competition and acknowledge that they will have no recourse against the Promoter, its suppliers, or agents.
  16. In the event that the prize is not available despite the Promoter’s reasonable endeavours to procure the prize, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal value.
  17. Neither Shoprite Checkers (Pty) Ltd, the Promoter, its agents, service providers, suppliers, associated companies, nor any directors, officers, or employees of such, shall be liable for any loss or damage, whether direct, indirect, consequential, or otherwise arising from any cause whatsoever, which may be suffered by the participant.
  18. The judges’ decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
  19. Participation in this Competition constitutes acceptance of, and an agreement to comply with these terms and conditions.
  20. The winners may be requested to endorse, promote, and advertise any of the goods and services of the Promoter and will not unreasonably withhold their consent.
  21. Protecting participants’ personal information is important to Shoprite Checkers (Pty) Ltd. For more information, please refer to the data privacy statement on their website.
  22. This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with any social media channel and the participants acknowledge that they are providing information to the Promoter and its agents only and not to any social media channel.

MOTHER’S DAY HAMPER GIVEAWAY TERMS & CONDITIONS

  1. These are the competition specific terms and conditions for the NIVEA® “Mother’s Day Hamper Giveaway” Competition (“the Competition”). By participating in the Competition, the user accepts these conditions of participation.
  2. The promoter of the Competition is Beiersdorf Consumer Products (Pty) Ltd with registration number 2000/010257/07, a private company duly incorporated under the company laws of the Republic of South Africa and having its registered place of business situated at 4th Floor, Beacon Rock, 21 Lighthouse Road, Umhlanga Rocks, 4319 (“the Promoter”).
  3. The Competition is open to only South African citizens and permanent residents and excludes the Promoter, the Promoter’s advertising and promotional agencies, any directors, members, partners, agents, employees or consultants of the Promoter, any supplier of goods or services in connection with the Competition and the spouse, life partner, business partner or associate, parent, child, or sibling, of any of the persons specified aforesaid.
  4. The Competition is open from 00:01 on 10 May 2024 and ends at 23:59 on 31 May 2024 (“the Closing Date”). Any entries received before and after the Closing Date will not be considered.
  5. It is the responsibility of the entrants to ensure that his/her entry is completed and received within the Competition dates. Any entries, which are not completed or received before 23:59 on 31 May 2024, will not be eligible to participate, regardless of the reason for the late entry.
  6. The Promoter and its affiliates are not responsible for any entries, which are not completed and received, regardless of the cause for non-receipt.
  7. The Promoter and its affiliates are not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network, computer system, server, or provider, which may have hindered entry into the Competition.
  8. To enter the Competition, entrants are required to comment on our NIVEA® Mother’s Day Competition Facebook or Instagram post during the Competition period by sharing a special moment they’ve had with their mom to stand a chance to win a NIVEA hamper.
  9. Prizes: Two (2) lucky entrants stand a chance to each win 1 (one) of 2 (two) NIVEA® hampers, each to the value of R 500.00 (five hundred rand).
    9.1 There will only be 2 (two) eligible winners who will each receive 1 (one) of the 2 (two) NIVEA® hampers;
    9.2 The total value of the prizes in the Competition is R 1000.00 (one thousand rand);
    9.3 The Promoter shall only provide 1 (one) hamper to each eligible winner.
  10. Any entrant under the age of 18 shall present by their parent / guardian’s written consent to enter the Competition at the Promoter’s request.
  11. Entrants may only enter once.
  12. The eligible winners will be notified via Facebook or Instagram direct message by Monday 3 June 2024 and the eligible winners will have 48 (forty-eight) hours to verify their details including their delivery address, cell number & email address where hampers shall be sent to.
  13. Hampers do not accrue interest and are not refundable for cash.
  14. The Promoter is not responsible for any harm due to the loss, unauthorised use or unauthorised distribution of the prize once delivered. The prize will be delivered to the delivery address nominated by the winner. The Promoter will attempt to contact an eligible winner 2 (two) times over a 48-hour period via Facebook/Instagram direct message. If an eligible winner cannot be contacted then the prize will be forfeited and a backup winner will be drawn and the same terms and conditions shall apply.
  15. The eligible winners will have 48 (forty-eight) hours from 3 June 2024 on which they were contacted by the Promotor, to submit their SA Identification Documents, delivery address, cell number and email address the hamper to be distributed. If an eligible winner does not comply within the stipulated time he/she shall forfeit his/her prize and a backup eligible winner will be drawn and these same terms and conditions shall apply.
  16. The prizes are not exchangeable for cash and not transferable, under any circumstances.
  17. The Promoter reserves the right to change and/or postpone or terminate the Competition immediately without notice. In the event of such change or termination, all participants agree to waive any rights that they may have in terms of this Competition and acknowledge that they will have no recourse against the Promoter or its agents or distributors.
  18. Neither the Promoter not its agents, distributors, nor any of the Promoter’s directors, officers, employees or agents shall be liable for any loss or damage, whether direct, indirect, consequential or otherwise, arising from any cause whatsoever, which may be suffered by the participants in connection with this Competition or the use of the prizes.
  19. The eligible prize winners may be required to sign an indemnity. Failure to sign the indemnity shall result in the prize being forfeited.
  20. All risks and ownership of the prizes shall pass to the winners on transfer/delivery thereof and hence all of The Promoter’s obligations in regard to the Competition as well as in regard to the prizes shall terminate.
  21. The Promoter shall not be liable for any costs incurred by the entrants and eligible winners for entering the Competition or in claiming any prizes, where applicable.
  22. All the information provided or related to this Competition shall be managed, captured and approved by the Promoter, and will not be used for any other purpose than for execution of the Competition and in line with applicable legislation.
  23. User data collected via entry for this Competition will be stored for as long as it is legally required to and in accordance with the Promoter’s Privacy Policy, https://www.nivea.co.za/about-us/privacy-policy
  24. Nothing in these terms and conditions is intended to, or must be understood to, unlawfully restrict, limit or avoid any rights or obligations, as the case may be, created for either the participant or the Promoter in terms of the Consumer Protection Act, 68 of 2008 ("CPA").
  25. By entering the Competition, entrants acknowledge that the Competition will be managed in accordance with the provisions of the CPA. Qualifying entrants undertake to expeditiously do all things necessary to enable the Promoter to comply with their obligations under the CPA.
  26. The Promotor’s decision(s) shall be final and no correspondence will be entered into.

NIVEA Radiant & Beauty 99% COMPETITION 2024 SPECIFIC TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  1. These are the competition specific terms and conditions for the “NIVEA® Radiant & Beauty 99% Competition” (“the Competition”).
  2. The promoter of the Competition is Beiersdorf Consumer Products (Pty) Ltd (with registration number: 2000/010257/07), a company duly incorporated under the company laws of the Republic of South Africa and having its registered place of business situated at 4th Floor, Beacon Rock, 21 Lighthouse Road, Umhlanga Rocks, 4319 (“the Promoter”).
  3. The Competition is only open to persons who are either South African Citizens or Permanent South African Residents, and excludes the Promoter, the Promoter’s advertising and promotional agencies, any directors, members, partners, agents, employees or consultants of the Promoter, any supplier of goods or services in connection with the Competition and the spouse, life partner, business partner or associate, parent, child, or sibling, of any of the persons specified aforesaid.
  4. The Competition is open from 09h00 on 1 March 2024 and ends at 23h59 on 31 May 2024 (the Closing Date). Any entries received before 09h00 on 1 March 2024 and after the Closing Date will not be considered.
  5. It is the responsibility of the entrants to ensure that his/her entry is received within the Competition dates. Any entries, which are not received before the closing date, will not be eligible to participate, regardless of the reason for the late entry.
  6. The Promoter and its affiliates are not responsible for any entries, which are not received by it, regardless of the cause for non-receipt.
  7. The Promoter and its affiliates are not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network, computer system, server, or provider, which may have hindered entry into the Competition.
  8. To enter the Competition via the NIVEA® WhatsApp Line (066 222 0282), -
    8.1 Qualifying entrants are required to buy any one (1) of the below qualifying NIVEA® Radiant & Beauty products (body lotion or cream) as part of their shopping basket (i.e.. the value of the items visible on a valid till slip):
    8.1.1 NIVEA® Radiant & Beauty Advanced Care;
    8.1.2 NIVEA® Radiant & Beauty Even Glow;
    8.2 Once a qualifying NIVEA® Radiant & Beauty product has been purchased as part of the shopping basket, a qualifying entrant must keep their till slip;
    8.3 Entrant must then type “Hi” to the NIVEA® WhatsApp Line (066 222 0282) to complete his / her entry;
    8.4 Once prompted, the profiling and competition questions must be answered; and
    8.5 Entrant must upload a clear picture of the till slip as proof of purchase, showing the purchase of the qualifying product, the date, and the retailer.
  9. To enter the competition via Digital or TVC or Billboard -
    9.1 Once a qualifying NIVEA® Radiant & Beauty product has been purchased as part of the shopping basket,
    9.2 the entrant will see a Social Media Ad on Instagram and/or Facebook or Display or out-of-home or TV;
    9.3 the entrant will need to click on the link or scan the QR code through to the NIVEA® landing page;
    9.4 once on the NIVEA® landing page, the entrant will see the competition details and Terms & Conditions;
    9.5 there will be a link that clicks through to allow the entrant to enter on the NIVEA® WhatsApp Line;
    9.6 the entrant will then send “Hi” on the NIVEA® WhatsApp Line and follow the prompts to enter the Competition, and clauses 8.4 and 8.5 shall equally apply.
  10. For Facebook and Instagram ads, the entrant will click on the ad which will take the entrant directly to the WhatsApp Line to enter. The other digital assets will follow the consumer journey via the NIVEA® landing page, as per clause 9.3 to 9.6.
  11. To enter the Competition via the mall activation -
    11.1 Qualifying entrants are required to buy any one (1) of the below qualifying NIVEA® Radiant & Beauty products (body lotion or cream) as part of their shopping basket (i.e.. the value of the items visible on a valid till slip):
    11.1.1 NIVEA® Radiant & Beauty Advanced Care;
    11.1.2 NIVEA® Radiant & Beauty Even Glow;
    11.2 Once a qualifying NIVEA® Radiant & Beauty product has been purchased as part of the shopping basket, a qualifying entrant must keep their till slip;
    11.3 Entrant must register their details on the tablet device provided at the activation then attempt to stop the timer exactly on 00:09,99 to complete his / her entry;
    11.4 Entrant shall have a maximum of 3 (three) tries to stop the timer.
    11.5 Once prompted, the profiling and competition questions must be answered, and T&Cs must be accepted; and
    11.6 Entrant must provide for upload a clear picture of the till slip as proof of purchase, showing the purchase of the qualifying product, the date, and the retailer.
    11.7 Consumers may be invited at the discretion of the promoter to have a “free try” to stop the timer prior to purchase for the chance to win a prize.
  12. To enter the competition via in store activation -
    12.1 Qualifying entrants are required to buy any one (1) of the below qualifying NIVEA® Radiant & Beauty products (body lotion or cream) as part of their shopping basket (i.e.. the value of the items visible on a valid till slip):
    12.1.1 NIVEA® Radiant & Beauty Advanced Care;
    12.1.2 NIVEA® Radiant & Beauty Even Glow;
    12.2 Once a qualifying NIVEA® Radiant & Beauty product has been purchased as part of the shopping basket, a qualifying entrant must keep their till slip;
    12.3 Entrant must register their details on the tablet device provided then attempt to stop the timer exactly on 00:09,99 to complete his / her entry;
    12.4 Entrant shall have a maximum of 3 (three) attempts to stop the timer.
    12.5 Once prompted, the profiling and competition questions must be answered and T&Cs must be accepted; and
    12.6 Entrant must provide for upload a clear picture of the till slip as proof of purchase, showing the purchase of the qualifying product, the date, and the retailer.
    12.7 Consumers may be invited at the discretion of the promoter to have a “free try” to stop the timer prior to purchase for the chance to win a prize.
  13. Entrants are permitted to enter multiple times, subject to each entry being linked to a new separate purchase and till slip, as per the above clauses, however, entrants are only eligible to win 1 (one) weekly prize, once for the duration of the Competition. This does not preclude a weekly winner from also standing a chance to win the grand prize. The promoter has the right to not accept entries from an entrant should they show signs of any suspicious behaviour.
  14. Prizes: Qualifying entrants stand a chance to win their share of up to R 1,3 million:
    14.1 There will be 13 (thirteen) weekly draws in total from all valid entries received, with the first weekly draw on or about 11 March 2024 and the last weekly draw on or about 1 June 2024:
    14.1.1 For each of the 13 (thirteen) weekly draws, winners will be randomly drawn and 99% of the total value of the valid till slip uploaded by each winner will be awarded as a cash payout, to the total maximum campaign value of R1,007,500.00 (One Million Seven Thousand Five Hundred Rand).
    14.1.2 Participants who stop the timer on 00:09,99 on their discretionary “free try” in the mall activation shall be awarded a cash payout of the value of R999 (Nine Hundred & Ninetly Nine Rand).
    14.1.3 Participants who stop the timer on 00:09,99 on their discretionary “free try” in the in-store activation shall be awarded a cash payout of the value of R99 (Ninety Nine Rand).
    14.1.4 Participants who stop the timer on 00:09,99 accompanied by a valid purchase, as per clause 12 above, in the in-store activation shall be awarded a cash payout of the value of R999 (Nine Hundred and Ninety Nine Rand).
    14.1.5 No individual winner will receive more than R9,850.00 (Nine Thousand Eight Hundred and Fifty Rand).
    14.1.6 In total there will be a maximum of R1,007,500.00 (One Million Seven Thousand Five Hundred Rand) paid out as cash prizes to lucky weekly winners.
    14.2 There will be 3 (three) grand prize draws from all valid entries received:
    14.2.1 All valid entries received at the time of the respective draw shall also be entered into the grand prize draw whereby (3) three eligible winners will stand a chance to each win R99,000.00 (Ninety-nine Thousand Rands).
    14.2.2 The random draws will take place on –
    14.2.2.1 1 April 2024;
    14.2.2.2 29 April 2024; and
    14.2.2.3 3 June 2024.
    14.2.3 Any participant who stops the timer on 00:09,99 with a valid purchase as per clause 11 above in the mall activation shall be awarded a grand prize cash payout of the value of R99 000 (Ninety Nine Thousand Rand). In the event that more than one participant stops the timer on 00:09,99 the winners shall share the prize money equally. The ‘draw date’ for the mall activation winner/s shall be 1 June 2024. Notwithstanding the above, all such winners will receive an immediate cash payout of R9,900 to be applied against their total prize amount.
    14.2.4 In total there will be 3 (three) grand prize winners chosen by random draw during the Competition period, to a total value of about R297 000 (Two hundred and Ninety-Seven Thousand Rands only).
    14.2.5 In total there will be 1 grand prize of R99 000 (Ninety Nine Thousand Rands) for mall activation winner/s.
    14.2.6 Total Grand Prize value is R396 000 (Three Hundred and Ninety Six Thousand Rands only).
  15. During the course of the competition there shall be promoted appearances by social media influencers at the Mall Activations. The Promoter shall at their discretion implement “mini competitions” during such influencer appearances. To enter a mini competition during an influencer appearance:
    15.1 Contestants shall be invited to enter at random from the audience surrounding the activation. Between 5 and 10 contestants shall be selected to play at the discretion of the Promoter.
    15.2 The promoter reserves the right to disqualify and/or replace any contestant for any reason at their sole discretion.
    15.3 No purchase shall be necessary to take part in the mini competition.
    15.4 Contestants shall be required to sign an indemnity allowing the promoter to film and use their images to promote the campaign and competition.
    15.5 Contestants shall take turns to attempt to stop the timer on 00:09.99
    15.6 The influencer and/or promoter shall implement additional competition elements and/or product questions for the contestants to answer at their discretion.
    15.7 At the end of the competition, the contestant who comes closest to 00:09.99 shall be declared the winner.
    15.8 If any contestant gets 00:09.99 on the timer during the competition he/she shall be declared the winner.
    15.9 The winner shall receive a cash payout of R9,900 subject to validation of identity and bank account confirmation as described herein.
    15.10 Total prize value of the mini competitions is R29,700.
  16. All winners will be randomly drawn.
  17. All winners will be notified via the WhatsApp Chatline within (1) one week of the respective draw dates, and they will be required to verify their details.
  18. Winners may be contacted directly by the Promoter, or their marketing agencies and they will be required to verify their details on the NIVEA® WhatsApp Line. Eligible winners will be asked to provide their Full name & ID for identification purposes and banking details for payments over R3000.
  19. The Promoter shall attempt to contact the winners 2 (two) times over a 48 (forty-eight) hour period on the cell phone number used to enter on the NIVEA® WhatsApp Line. If a winner cannot be contacted, or cannot provide the necessary information, within the timeframe given, the chance to be a winner shall be forfeited, and a substitute winner shall be randomly drawn.
  20. Weekly winners: Cash prizes of 99% of their submitted till slip (max value of R9,850.00 – Nine Thousand Eight Hundred and Fifty Rand) will be paid to the respective winners mobile number used to enter the Competition via Absa Cash Send if value is less than R3000, and if larger via EFT. Once details have been provided and verified, winners of the weekly prizes will be paid within 10 (ten) days of being confirmed as a winner. After payment has been made, we request that the winner confirms receipt of the cash prize on NIVEA® WhatsApp Line.
  21. Grand prize winners: Grand prizes of R99,000.00 (ninety-nine thousand rands) will be paid to the respective winners via EFT to the bank account details provided on the NIVEA® Competition WhatsApp line. Once details have been provided and verified, winners of the grand prizes will be paid within 10 (ten) days of being confirmed as a winner. After payment has been made, we request that the winner confirms receipt of the cash prize on NIVEA® WhatsApp Line.
  22. Cash prizes under R3 000 will be paid to winners via Absa Cash Send to the Mobile Number and ID Number provided on the NIVEA® WhatsApp Line. Cash Prizes above R3 000 will be paid to winners via EFT to Banking Account details provided on WhatsApp. Once details have been provided and verified, the eligible winner for the weekly prize and grand prize can be asked to provide a bank letter or ID copy to confirm their details. After payment has been made, we may request that the eligible winner confirms receipt of the cash prize EFT.
  23. Winners who receive their cash via Absa Cash Send will
    23.1 receive an SMS from NIVEA® with a 6-digit code and instructions on how to redeem their Cash as a Cardless withdrawal from an Absa ATM
    23.2 Absa will send the recipient a 10-digit withdrawal number via SMS. If the withdrawal number is lost, please contact NIVEA® Customer Care who can request for it to be retrieved.
    23.3 The winner can go to any Absa ATM nationwide and do a Cardless Withdrawal, using the two pin codes received on the two SMSes, and must withdraw the full amount in one transaction, within 30 days of receiving the SMS from Absa.
  24. The prizes are not exchangeable or transferable, under any circumstances.
  25. The Promoter shall request the winners’ consent in writing to their names, images and/or likeness being used and published for promotional purposes in connection with the Competition for a period of 12 (twelve) months after he / she has been announced as the winner.
  26. The Promoter reserves the right to change and/or postpone or terminate the Competition immediately without notice. In the event of such change or termination, all entrants agree to waive any rights that they may have in terms of this Competition and acknowledge that they will have no recourse against the Promoter or its agents or distributors.
  27. The Promoter reserves the right to change the Terms & Conditions.
  28. Neither the Promoter nor its agents, distributors, nor any of the Promoter’s directors, officers, employees, or agents shall be liable for any loss or damage, whether direct, indirect, consequential, or otherwise, arising from any cause whatsoever, which may be suffered by the entrants in connection with this Competition or the use of the prizes.
  29. The eligible prize winners may be required to sign an indemnity. Failure to sign the indemnity shall result in the prize being forfeited.
  30. All risks and ownership of the prizes shall pass to the winners on transfer/delivery thereof and hence all the Promoter’s obligations in regard to the Competition as well as in regard to the prizes shall terminate.
  31. The Promoter shall not be liable for any costs incurred by the entrants and eligible winners for entering the Competition or in claiming any prizes, where applicable.

The Competition is only open to persons who are 18 (eighteen) years and older and are either South African Citizens or Permanent South African Residents, and excludes the Promoter, the Promoter’s advertising and promotional agencies, any directors, members, partners, agents, employees or consultants of the Promoter, any supplier of goods or services in connection with the Competition and the spouse, life partner, business partner or associate, parent, child, or sibling, of any of the persons specified aforesaid.
  4. The Competition is open from 09h00 on 1 March 2024 and ends at 23h59 on 31 May 2024 (the Closing Date). Any entries received before 09h00 on 1 March 2024 and after the Closing Date will not be considered.

    9.3 the entrant will need to click on the link or scan the QR code through to the NIVEA® landing page;
    9.4 once on the NIVEA® landing page, the entrant will see the competition details and Terms & Conditions;
    9.5 there will be a link that clicks through to allow the entrant to enter on the NIVEA® WhatsApp Line;
    9.6 the entrant will then send “Hi” on the NIVEA® WhatsApp Line and follow the prompts to enter the Competition, and clauses 8.4 and 8.5 shall equally apply.
  10. For Facebook and Instagram ads, the entrant will click on the ad which will take the entrant directly to the WhatsApp Line to enter. The other digital assets will follow the consumer journey via the NIVEA® landing page, as per clause 9.3 to 9.6.
  11. Entrants are permitted to enter multiple times, subject to each entry being linked to a new separate purchase and till slip, as per the above clauses, however, entrants are only eligible to win 1 (one) weekly prize, throughout the duration of the Competition. This does not preclude a weekly winner from also standing a chance to win the grand prize. The promoter has the right to not accept entries from an entrant should they show signs of any suspicious behaviour.
  12. Prizes: Qualifying entrants stand a chance to win their share of up to R 1,3 million:
    12.1 There will be 13 (thirteen) weekly draws in total from all valid entries received, with the first weekly draw on or about 11 March 2024 and the last weekly draw on or about 1 June 2024:
    12.1.1 For each of the 13 (thirteen) weekly draws, winners will be randomly drawn and 99% of the total value of the valid till slip uploaded by each winner will be awarded as a cash payout, to the total maximum campaign value of R 1,007,500.00 (One Million Seven Thousand Five Hundred Rand).
    12.1.2 No individual winner will receive more than R 9,850.00 (Nine Thousand Eight Hundred and Fifty Rand).

Eligible winners will be asked to provide their Full name & ID for identification purposes and banking details for payments over R 3000 (Three Thousand Rand).
  16. The Promoter shall attempt to contact the winners 2 (two) times over a 48 (forty-eight) hour period on the cell phone number used to enter on the NIVEA® WhatsApp Line. If a winner cannot be contacted, or cannot provide the necessary information, within the timeframe given, the chance to be a winner shall be forfeited, and a substitute winner shall be randomly drawn.
  17. Weekly winners: Cash prizes of 99% of their submitted till slip (max value of R 9,850.00 (Nine Thousand Eight Hundred and Fifty Rand) will be paid to the respective winner’s mobile number used to enter the Competition via Absa Cash Send if value is less than R 3000 (Three Thousand Rand), and if larger via EFT. Once details have been provided and verified, winners of the weekly prizes will be paid within 10 (ten) days of being confirmed as a winner.   18. Grand prize winners: Grand prizes of R 99,000.00 (Ninety-nine Thousand Rands) will be paid to the respective winners via EFT to the bank account details provided on the NIVEA® Competition WhatsApp line. Once details have been provided and verified, winners of the grand prizes will be paid within 10 (ten) days of being confirmed as a winner.   19. Cash prizes under R 3 000 (Three Thousand Rand) will be paid to winners via Absa Cash Send to the Mobile Number and ID Number provided on the NIVEA® WhatsApp Line.   20. Winners who receive their cash via Absa Cash Send will

  9. Prizes: Entrants stand a chance to win 1 (one) of 2 (two) NIVEA® hampers each to the value of R 1 000.00 (one thousand rand).
    9.1 There will only be 2 (two) eligible winners who will each receive 1 (one) of the 2 (two) NIVEA® hampers;

If an eligible winner does not comply within the stipulated time he/she shall forfeit his/her prize and a backup eligible winner will be drawn and these same terms and conditions shall apply.
  16. The prizes are not exchangeable for cash and not transferable, under any circumstances.

    8.3 The Qualifying NIVEA® Radiant & Beauty Products (body lotion or cream) are as follows:

    8.4. While purchasing a qualifying NIVEA® Radiant & Beauty Product, nine (9) qualifying entrants at a Participating Shopping Mall at the Specified Date stand a chance of being randomly spotted by a NIVEA® representative at a Participating Retailer’s till.
    8.5. The value of the Qualifying NIVEA® Radiant & Beauty Product must be clearly visible on a valid till slip, and a qualifying entrant must keep their till slip.
    8.6. All winners will be notified by a Nivea® representative at the Participating Retailer’s till upon purchase, on the date of purchase, that they have won.
  9. Winners will be required to verify their personal details (full name, ID number, email address, phone number & banking details) in order to verify winners.
    9.1. NIVEA® SUN SUMMER COMPETITION 2023 TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  1. These are the competition specific terms and conditions for the “NIVEA® Sun Summer Competition” (“the Competition”).
  2. The promoter of the Competition is Beiersdorf Consumer Products (Pty) Ltd (with registration number: 2000/010257/07), a company duly incorporated under the company laws of the Republic of South Africa and having its registered place of business situated at 4th Floor, Beacon Rock, 21 Lighthouse Road, Umhlanga Rocks, 4319 (“the Promoter”).
  3. The Competition is only open to persons who are either South African citizens or Permanent South African Residence, and excludes the Promoter, the Promoter’s advertising and promotional agencies, any directors, members, partners, agents, employees or consultants of the Promoter, any supplier of goods or services in connection with the Competition and the spouse, life partner, business partner or associate, parent, child, or sibling, of any of the persons specified aforesaid.
  4. The Competition is open from 09h00 on 15th September 2023 and ends at 23h59 on 31 December 2023 (the closing date). Any entries received before 09h00 on 15th September 2023 and after the closing date will not be considered.
  5. It is the responsibility of the entrants to ensure that his/her entry is received within the competition dates. Any entries, which are not received before the closing date, will not be eligible to participate, regardless of the reason for the late entry.
  6. The Promoter and its affiliates are not responsible for any entries, which are not received by it, regardless of the cause for non-receipt.
  7. The Promoter and its affiliates are not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network, computer system, server, or provider, which may have hindered entry into the Competition.
  8. To enter the Competition, entrants are required to:
    • 8.1.Purchase any one (1) of the qualifying products -
      • NIVEA SUN® Lotion product;
      • NIVEA SUN® Cream product;
      • NIVEA SUN® Spray product.
    • 8.2.Dial *120*8021#and follow the prompts.
    • 8.3.Once prompted, answer the profiling and Competition questions.
    • 8.4.Retain your till slip as proof of purchase, showing the purchase of the qualifying product, the date, and the retailer.
  9. Entrants are permitted to enter multiple times, subject to each entry being linked to a new separate purchase and till slip, as per clause 8 above, however, entrants are only eligible to win 1 (one) weekly prize, once for the duration of the Competition. This does not preclude a weekly winner from also standing a chance to win the grand prize.
  10. Prizes: Entrants stand a chance to win their share of R 200 000 (Two Hundred Thousand Rands):
    • 10.1.There will be 15 (fifteen) weekly draws from eligible entries received, with the first weekly draws taking place each Friday, beginning on 22nd September 2023 with the last weekly draw on or about 31st December 2023.

       

  11. In total, there will be:
    • 11.1.98 (ninety-eight weekly winners x R1 000 (One thousand Rands) drawn during the Competition period, to a total value of R98 000 (ninety eight thousand Rands only);
    • 11.2.15 (fifteen weekly winners x R6 000 (six thousand Rands) drawn during the Competition period, to a total value of R90 000 (Ninety thousand Rands only);
    • 11.3.8 (eight weekly winners x R1 500 (one thousand five hundred Rands) drawn during the Competition period, to a total value of R12 000 (Ninety thousand Rands only);
  12. All winners will be randomly drawn.
  13. All winners will be notified telephonically within one (1) week of the respective draw dates, and they will be required to verify their details and banking details.
  14. The Promoter shall attempt to contact winners 3 (three) times over a 48 (forty-eight) hour period on the cell phone number used to enter. If a winner cannot be contacted, or cannot provide the necessary information, within the timeframe given, the chance to be a winner shall be forfeited, and a substitute winner shall be randomly drawn.
  15. Cash prizes will be paid to winners via EFT to the Banking Account details provided on WhatsApp. Once details have been provided and verified, the eligible winner for the monthly prize and grand prize shall be asked to provide a bank letter to confirm their banking details. After payment has been made, we request that the eligible winner confirms receipt of the cash prize in writing.
  16. The prizes are not exchangeable or transferable, under any circumstances.
  17. The Promoter reserves the right to change and/or postpone or terminate the Competition immediately without notice. In the event of such change or termination, all entrants agree to waive any rights that they may have in terms of this Competition and acknowledge that they will have no recourse against the Promoter or its agents or distributors.
  18. Neither the Promoter nor its agents, distributors, nor any of the Promoter’s directors, officers, employees, or agents shall be liable for any loss or damage, whether direct, indirect, consequential, or otherwise, arising from any cause whatsoever, which may be suffered by the entrants in connection with this Competition or the use of the prizes.
  19. The eligible prize winners may be required to sign an indemnity. Failure to sign the indemnity shall result in the prize being forfeited.
  20. All risks and ownership of the prizes shall pass to the winners on transfer/delivery thereof and hence all the Promoter’s obligations in regard to the Competition as well as in regard to the prizes shall terminate.
  21. The Promoter shall not be liable for any costs incurred by the entrants and eligible winners for entering the Competition or in claiming any prizes, where applicable.
  22. All the information provided or related to this Competition shall be managed, captured, and approved by the Promoter, and will not be used for any other purpose than for execution of the Competition and in line with applicable legislation.
  23. User data collected via entry for this Competition will be processed solely for the purposes of this Competition and will be stored for as long as it is legally required to and in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act, No 4 of 2013, and the Promoter’s Privacy Policy www.nivea.co.za/about-us/privacy-policy.
  24. Nothing in these terms and conditions is intended to, or must be understood to, unlawfully restrict, limit, or avoid any rights or obligations created for either the participant or the Promoter in terms of the Consumer Protection Act, 68 of 2008 ("CPA").
  25. By entering the Competition, entrants acknowledge that the Competition will be managed in accordance with the provisions of the CPA. Qualifying entrants undertake to expeditiously do all things necessary to enable the Promoter to comply with their obligations under the CPA.
  26. The Promoter's decision(s) shall be final, and no correspondence will be entered.

    8.1 Qualifying entrants are required to buy any one (1) of the below qualifying NIVEA® Radiant & Beauty products (body lotion or cream) as part of their shopping basket:
    8.1.1. NIVEA® Radiant & Beauty Advanced Care;
    8.1.2. NIVEA® Radiant & Beauty Even Glow;
    8.2. The value of the below qualifying NIVEA® Radiant & Beauty products (body lotion or cream) must be clearly visible on a valid till slip.
    8.3 Once a qualifying NIVEA® Radiant & Beauty product has been purchased as part of the shopping basket, a qualifying entrant must keep their till slip;
    8.4 Entrant must then type “Hi” to the NIVEA® WhatsApp Line (066 222 0282) to complete his / her entry;
    8.5 Once prompted, the profiling and competition questions must be answered; and
    8.6 Entrant must upload a clear picture of the till slip as proof of purchase, showing the purchase of the qualifying product, the date, and the retailer.
  9. To enter the competition via Digital or TVC or Billboard -
    9.1 Once a qualifying NIVEA® Radiant & Beauty product has been purchased as part of the shopping basket,
    9.2 the entrant will see a Social Media Ad on Instagram and/or Facebook or Display or out-of-home or TV;
    9.3 the entrant will need to click on the link or scan the QR code through to the NIVEA® landing page;
    9.4 once on the NIVEA® landing page, the entrant will see the competition details and Terms & Conditions;
    9.5. there will be a link that clicks through to allow the entrant to enter on the NIVEA® WhatsApp Line;
    9.6. the entrant will then send “Hi” on the NIVEA® WhatsApp Line and follow the prompts to enter the Competition, and clauses 8.4 and 8.5 shall equally apply.

  10. For Facebook and Instagram ads, the entrant will click on the ad which will take the entrant directly to the WhatsApp Line to enter. The other digital assets will follow the consumer journey via the NIVEA® landing page, as per clause 9.3 to 9.6.
  11. Entrants are permitted to enter multiple times, subject to each entry being linked to a new separate purchase and till slip, as per the above clauses, however, entrants are only eligible to win 1 (one) weekly prize, once for the duration of the Competition. This does not preclude a weekly winner from also standing a chance to win the grand prize. The promoter has the right to not accept entries from an entrant should they show signs of any suspicious behaviour.
  12. Prizes: Qualifying entrants stand a chance to win their share of up to R 1,3 million:
    12. 1 There will be 9 (nine) weekly draws in total from all valid entries received, with the first weekly draw on or about 16 October 2023 and the last weekly draw on or about 11 December 2023:
    12.1.1. For each of the 9 (nine) weekly draws, winners will be randomly drawn and 99% of the total value of the valid till slip uploaded by each winner will be awarded as a cash payout, to the total maximum weekly value of up to R112,000.00 (one hundred and twelve thousand Rand).
    12.1.2. No individual winner will receive more than R9,850.00 (Nine Thousand Eight Hundred and Fifty Rand) as a cash payout.
    12.1.3. Winners will be randomly drawn until the total maximum weekly payout value of up to R112,000.00 (one hundred and twelve thousand Rand) has been reached.
    12.1.4. In total there will be a maximum of R1,008,000.00 (One Million Eight Thousand Rand) paid out as cash prizes to lucky winners.
    12.2. There will be 3 (three) grand prize draws from all valid entries received:
    12.2.1. All valid entries received at the time of the respective draw shall also be entered into the grand prize draw whereby one (1) eligible winner will stand a chance to win R99,000.00 (Ninety-nine Thousand Rands) per draw:
    12.2.2. The random draws will take place on –
    12.2.2.1. 16 October 2023;
    12.2.2.2. 06 November 2023; and
    12.2.2.3. 4 December 2023.
    12.2.3. In total there will be 3 (three) grand prize winners randomly drawn during the Competition period, to a total value of about
    R297 000 (Two hundred and Ninety-Seven Thousand Rands only).
  13. All winners will be randomly drawn.
  14. All winners will be notified via the WhatsApp Chatline within (1) one week of the respective draw dates, and they will be required to verify their details.
  15. Winners may be contacted directly by the Promoter, or their marketing agencies and they will be required to verify their details on the NIVEA® WhatsApp Line. Eligible winners will be asked to provide their Full name & ID for identification purposes and banking details for payments over R3000.
  16. The Promoter shall attempt to contact the winners 2 (two) times over a 48 (forty-eight) hour period on the cell phone number used to enter on the NIVEA® WhatsApp Line. If a winner cannot be contacted, or cannot provide the necessary information, within the timeframe given, the chance to be a winner shall be forfeited, and a substitute winner shall be randomly drawn.
  17. Weekly winners: Cash prizes of 99% of their submitted till slip (max value of R9,850.00 – Nine Thousand Eight Hundred and Fifty Rand) will be paid to the respective winners mobile number used to enter the Competition via Absa Cash Send if value is less than R3000, and if larger via EFT . Once details have been provided and verified, winners of the weekly prizes will be paid within 10 (ten) days of being confirmed as a winner. After payment has been made, we request that the winner confirms receipt of the cash prize on NIVEA® WhatsApp Line.
  18. Grand prize winners: Grand prizes of R99,000.00 (ninety-nine thousand rands) will be paid to the respective winners via EFT to the bank account details provided on the NIVEA® Competition WhatsApp line. Once details have been provided and verified, winners of the grand prizes will be paid within 10 (ten) days of being confirmed as a winner. After payment has been made, we request that the winner confirms receipt of the cash prize on NIVEA® WhatsApp Line.
  19. Cash prizes under R3 000 will be paid to winners via Absa Cash Send to the Mobile Number and ID Number provided on the NIVEA® WhatsApp Line. Cash Prizes above R3 000 will be paid to winners via EFT to Banking Account details provided on WhatsApp. Once details have been provided and verified, the eligible winner for the weekly prize and grand prize can be asked to provide a bank letter or ID copy to confirm their details. After payment has been made, we may request that the eligible winner confirms receipt of the cash prize EFT.
  20. Winners who receive their cash via Absa Cash Send will 20.1. receive an SMS from NIVEA® with a 6-digit code and instructions on how to redeem their Cash as a Cardless withdrawal from an Absa ATM
    20.2. Absa will send the recipient a 10-digit withdrawal number via SMS. If the withdrawal number is lost, please contact NIVEA® Customer Care who can request for it to be retrieved.
    20.3. The winner can go to any Absa ATM nationwide and do a Cardless Withdrawal, using the two pin codes received on the two SMSes, and must withdraw the full amount in one transaction, within 30 days of receiving the SMS from Absa.
  21. The prizes are not exchangeable or transferable, under any circumstances.

    8.3 Entrants will then receive a SMS with a link to NIVEA® WhatsApp Line (087 163 2028) to complete his / her entry;
    8.4 Entrants must then send “Hi” on the NIVEA® WhatsApp Line and select the NIVEA® MALDIVES & WEEKLY CASH PRIZES COMPETITION and follow the prompts;
    8.5 Once prompted, the profiling and Competition questions must be answered; and
    8.7 upload a picture of the till slip as proof of purchase, showing the purchase of the qualifying product, the date, and the retailer.
  9. To enter the Competition via the Precision Marketing campaign (Digital), - 9.1 Once a qualifying NIVEA® Fresh Deo product has been purchased,
    9.2 the entrant will see a Social Media Ad on Instagram and/or Facebook;
    9.3 the entrant will need to click on the link through to the NIVEA® landing page;
    9.4 once on the NIVEA® landing page, the entrant will see the competition details and Terms & Conditions;

    9.6 there will be a link that clicks through to allow the entrant to enter on the NIVEA® WhatsApp Line; 9.7 the entrant will then send “Hi” on the NIVEA® WhatsApp Line, select the NIVEA® MALDIVES & WEEKLY CASH PRIZES COMPETITION and follow the prompts to enter the Competition, and clauses 8.5 and 8.6 shall equally apply.

    i. For each of the 16 (sixteen) weekly draws, 5 (five) weekly winners will be randomly drawn, and each winner stands a chance to win R1 250 (one thousand two hundred and fifty rands) in cash.
    ii. In total there will be 80 (eighty) weekly cash winners randomly drawn during the Competition period, to a total value of R100 000 (One hundred thousand Rands only).
    11.2 There will be 1 (One) grand prize Draw from all valid entries received on or about 18 December 2023.
    i. All valid entries shall also be entered into the grand prize draw whereby one (1) eligible winner and a friend will stand a chance to win a trip to the Maldives to the value of R100 000 (One Hundred Thousand Rands).
    ii. All entrants who have complied with the requirements for a valid entry, as set out in clause 8 above (including providing a valid till slip showing the participating product purchased with a date clearly within the Competition dates) shall be entered into a random draw for the Grand Prize.
    iii. The winner and his/her partner must reside in South Africa and be in possession of a valid SA identity document and/or a valid permanent residence permit and a passport that is valid for 6 months after the date of international travel.
    iv. The winner and his/her partner must be eligible to travel, have no criminal warrant, and/or health issues that prohibit them to travel internationally.
    v. The partner elected to travel with the winner may not be younger than 18 years of age due to the nature of the prize.
    vi. The grand prize is inclusive of the following:
    ○ Accommodation at a 4* or 5* resort, at the discretion of the Promoter;
    ○ All-inclusive meals and non-alcoholic beverages (breakfast, lunch, and dinner)
    vii. The grand prize is exclusive of the following:
    ○ items of a personal nature;
    ○ any sightseeing and excursions that are not part of the resort package;
    ○ daily drinks and meals (other than breakfast, lunch and dinner at the resort);
    ○ medical and travel insurance;
    ○ application fees for passport and/or a visa, if required;
    ○ additional spending money;
    ○ any additional extras are to be settled by the prize winner;
    ○ any changes made to the itinerary by the winner which results in any costs being incurred such as change of flights, additional accommodation, etc.)
    viii. The draw for the grand prize shall take place on or about 18 December 2023.
  12. All winners will be randomly drawn.
  13. All winners will be notified telephonically within one (1) week of the respective draw dates, and they will be required to verify their details.
  14. Winners may be contacted directly by the Promoter, or their marketing agencies and they will be required to verify their details on the NIVEA® WhatsApp line. Eligible winners will be asked to provide their Full name, ID or Passport Number for identification purposes.

  10. Entrants are permitted to enter multiple times, subject to each entry being linked to a new separate purchase and till slip, as per clause 8 above, however, entrants are only eligible to win 1 (one) weekly prize, once for the duration of the Competition. This does not preclude a weekly winner from also standing a chance to win the grand prize.

2023 Father’s Day COmpetition Terms & conditions

  1. These are the competition specific terms and conditions for “NIVEA Father’s Day Hamper” (“the Competition”).
  2. The promoter of the Competition is Beiersdorf Consumer Products (Pty) Ltd (“the Promoter”).
  3. The Competition is open to South African citizens only and excludes the Promoter, the Promoter’s advertising and promotional agencies, any directors, members, partners, agents, employees or consultants of the Promoter, any supplier of goods or services in connection with the Competition and the spouse, life partner, business partner or associate, parent, child, or sibling, of any of the persons specified aforesaid.
  4. The Competition is open from 1 June 2023 and ends at 12pm, midday, on 15 June 2023 (the closing date). Any entries received before 1 June 2023 and after the closing date will not be considered.
  5. It is the responsibility of the entrants to ensure that his/her entry is completed and received within the competition dates. Any entries, which are not completed or received after midday on 15 June 2023, will not be eligible to participate, regardless of the reason for the late entry.
  6. The Promoter and its affiliates are not responsible for any entries, which are not completed and received, regardless of the cause for non-receipt.
  7. The Promoter and its affiliates are not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network, computer system, server, or provider, which may have hindered entry into the Competition.
  8. To enter the Competition entrants are required to comment on the Instagram or Facebook NIVEA South Africa’s Father’s Day post telling us why your dad is your hero.
  9. A random electronic draw will take place after the Competition has closed. 5 eligible prize winners will be selected from the valid entries received. Winners will be required to supply a copy of their SA Identification Documents, their father’s size and name.
  10. The 5 prize winners will each receive 1x NIVEA hamper each.
  11. The eligible winners will be notified telephonically within 8 weeks of 15 June 2023 and they will be required to verify their details including the delivery address where the hamper will be couriered to
  12. Hampers do not accrue interest and are not refundable for cash.
  13. The Promoter are not responsible for any harm due to the loss, unauthorised use or unauthorised distribution of a hamper after the prize has been delivered. It will be delivered to the physical address nominated by the winner.
  14. The Promoter will attempt to contact an eligible winner 3 times over a 72-hour period via Facebook/Instagram direct message. If an eligible winner cannot be contacted then the prize will be forfeited and a backup winner will be drawn and the same terms and conditions shall apply.
  15. Eligible winners will have 72 hours from the date on which they were contacted by the Promotor, to submit their SA Identification Documents, physical addresses and email addresses before the hamper will be released. If an eligible winner does not comply within the stipulated time they shall forfeit their prize and a backup eligible winner will be drawn and these same terms and conditions shall apply.
  16. The prizes are not exchangeable for cash and not transferable, under any circumstances.
  17. The Promoter reserves the right to change and/or postpone or terminate the Competition immediately without notice. In the event of such change or termination, all participants agree to waive any rights that they may have in terms of this Competition and acknowledge that they will have no recourse against the Promoter or its agents or distributors.
  18. Neither the Promoter not its agents, distributors, nor any of the Promoter’s directors, officers, employees or agents shall be liable for any loss or damage, whether direct, indirect, consequential or otherwise, arising from any cause whatsoever, which may be suffered by the participants in connection with this Competition or the use of the prizes.
  19. The eligible prize winners may be required to sign an indemnity. Failure to sign the indemnity shall result in the prize being forfeited.
  20. All risks and ownership of the prizes shall pass to the winners on transfer/delivery thereof and hence all of The Promoter’s obligations in regard to the Competition as well as in regard to the prizes shall terminate.
  21. The Promoter shall not be liable for any costs incurred by the entrants and eligible winners for entering the Competition or in claiming any prizes, where applicable.
  22. All the information provided or related to this Competition shall be managed, captured and approved by the Promoter, and will not be used for any other purpose than for execution of the Competition and in line with applicable legislation.

1. These are the competition specific terms and conditions for the “NIVEA® 5in1 Complete Care Body Care Winter Drive Competition” (“the Competition”).

2. The promoter of the Competition is Beiersdorf Consumer Products (Pty) Ltd (with registration number: 2000/010257/07), a company duly incorporated under the company laws of the Republic of South Africa and having its registered place of business situated at 4th Floor, Beacon Rock, 21 Lighthouse Road, Umhlanga Rocks, 4319 (“the Promoter”).

3. The Competition is only open to persons who are either South African citizens or Permanent South African Residence, and excludes the Promoter, the Promoter’s advertising and promotional agencies, any directors, members, partners, agents, employees or consultants of the Promoter, any supplier of goods or services in connection with the Competition and the spouse, life partner, business partner or associate, parent, child, or sibling, of any of the persons specified aforesaid.

4. The Competition is open from 09h00 on 1 May 2023 and ends at 23h59 on 31 August 2023 (the closing date). Any entries received before 09h00 on 1 May 2023 and after the closing date will not be considered.

5. It is the responsibility of the entrants to ensure that his/her entry is received within the competition dates. Any entries, which are not received before the closing date, will not be eligible to participate, regardless of the reason for the late entry.

6. The Promoter and its affiliates are not responsible for any entries, which are not received by it, regardless of the cause for non-receipt.

8. To enter the Competition, entrants are required to:

8.1. Purchase anyone (1) of the qualifying products -

8.2. Send “Hi” on the NIVEA® WhatsApp Line (087 163 2028) and follow the prompts.

8.3. Once prompted, answer the profiling and Competition questions.

8.4. Send us a picture of the till slip as proof of purchase, showing the purchase of the qualifying product, the date, and the retailer.

9. Entrants are permitted to enter multiple times, subject to each entry being linked to a new separate purchase and till slip, as per clause 8 above, however, entrants are only eligible to win 1 (one) weekly prize, once for the duration of the Competition. This does not preclude a weekly winner from also standing a chance to win the grand prize.

10. Prizes: Entrants stand a chance to win their share of R 1 000 000 (One Million Rands):

10.1. There will be 16 (sixteen) weekly draws from eligible entries received, with the first weekly draw on or about 23 May 2023 and the last weekly draw on or about 4 September 2023, where ten (10) eligible entrants each stand a chance to win R5 000 (five thousand Rands) cash each in the weekly draw;

10.2. There will be 4 (four) monthly draws from eligible entries received, with the first montly draw on or about 12 June 2023; the second monthly draw on or about 10 July 2023; the third monthly draw on or about 7 August 2023; and the last monthly draw on or about 4 September 2023, where one (1) eligible winner stands a chance to win R25 000 (twenty-five thousand Rands) cash in the monthly draw;

10.3. The Grand Prize draw shall take place on 11 September 2023 whereby one (1) eligible winner will stand a chance to win R100 000 (one hundred thousand Rands) cash.

11. In total, there will be:

11.1. 160 (one hundred and sixty) weekly winners x R5 000 (Five thousand Rands) drawn during the Competition period, to a total value of R800 000 (Eight hundred thousand Rands only);

11.2. 4 (four) monthly winners x R25 000 (twenty-five thousand Rands) drawn during the Competition period, to a total value of R100 000 (One hundred thousand Rands only).

11.3. All valid entries shall also be entered into the Grand Prize draw for a chance to win one (1) Grand Prize, to the value of R100 000 (One hundred thousand Rands only).

11.3.1. All entrants who have complied with the requirements for a valid entry, as set out in clause 8 above (including providing a valid till slip showing the participating product purchased with a date clearly within the Competition dates) shall be entered into a random draw for the Grand Prize.

12. All winners will be randomly drawn.

13. All winners will be notified telephonically within one (1) week of the respective draw dates, and they will be required to verify their details and banking details.

14. The Promoter shall attempt to contact winners 3 (three) times over a 48 (forty-eight) hour period on the cell phone number used to enter. If a winner cannot be contacted, or cannot provide the necessary information, within the timeframe given, the chance to be a winner shall be forfeited, and a substitute winner shall be randomly drawn.

15. Cash prizes will be paid to winners via EFT to the Banking Account details provided on WhatsApp. Once details have been provided and verified, the eligible winner for the monthly prize and grand prize shall be asked to provide a bank letter to confirm their banking details. After payment has been made, we request that the eligible winner confirms receipt of the cash prize EFT in writing.

16. The prizes are not exchangeable or transferable, under any circumstances.

    3. The winner and his/her partner must reside in South Africa and be in possession of a valid SA identity document and/or a valid permanent residence permit and a passport that is valid for 6 months after the date of international travel.
    4. The winner and his/her partner must be eligible to travel, have no criminal warrant, and/or health issues that prohibit them to travel internationally.
    5. The winner and his/her partner, when applying for visas, must be in a position to demonstrate that they have the financial means to travel, which normally means a 3 month bank statement and proof of salary.  
    6. The Grand Prize excludes -
      1. Items of a personal nature;
      2. Any sightseeing and excursions that are not part of the Real Madrid Experience;
      3. Daily drinks and meals (other than breakfast at the hotel);
      4. Medical and travel insurance;
      5. Application fees for passport and/or a visa, if required;
      6. Additional spending money;
    7. Any additional extras are to be settled by the prize winner;
    8. The winner and his/her partner are not permitted to make any changes to the itinerary of the Real Madrid Experience.

       

  20. The Promoter will attempt to contact an eligible winner 3 (three) times over a 72 (seventy-two) hour period on the cell phone number used to enter.If an eligible winner cannot be contacted, the chance to win a prize will be forfeited and a backup eligible winner will be drawn, and these same terms and conditions shall apply.
  21. Eligible winners will have 72 (seventy-two) hours from the date on which they were contacted by the Promotor, to verify their details, and to provide their passports, falling which; the chance to win a prize shall be forfeited and a backup eligible winner will be drawn and these same terms and conditions shall apply.
  22. The prizes are not exchangeable nor transferable, under any circumstances.
  23. The Promoter shall request the winner’s, and his/her partner’s, consent in writing to his / her image and/or likeness being used and published by the Promoter in connection with the Competition for a period of 12 (twelve) months after he / she has been announced as the winner. The winner and/or his/her partner may decline the use of his / her image and/or likeness by the Promoter.
  24. The Promoter reserves the right to change and/or postpone or terminate the Competition immediately without notice. In the event of such change or termination, all entrants agree to waive any rights that they may have in terms of this Competition and acknowledge that they will have no recourse against the Promoter or its agents or distributors.

Neither the Promoter not its agents, distributors, nor any of the Promoter’s directors, officers, employees or agents shall be liable for any loss or damage, whether direct, indirect, consequential or otherwise, arising from any cause whatsoever, which may be suffered by the entrants in connection with this Competition or the use of the prizes.
  26. The eligible prize winners may be required to sign an indemnity. Failure to sign the indemnity shall result in the prize being forfeited.
  27. All risks and ownership of the prizes shall pass to the winners on transfer/delivery thereof and hence all of the Promoter’s obligations in regard to the Competition as well as in regard to the prizes shall terminate.

  4. Any entrant under the age of 18 shall present their parent / guardian’s written consent to enter the Competition at the Promoter’s request.
  5. The Competition is open from 09h00 on 1 March 2023 and ends at 23h59 on 30 April 2023 (the closing date). Any entries received before and after the closing date will not be considered.
  6. It is the responsibility of the entrants to ensure that his/her entry is completed and received within the competition dates. Any entries, which are not completed or received before 23h59 on 30 April 2023 will not be eligible to participate, regardless of the reason for the late entry.
  7. The Promoter and its affiliates are not responsible for any entries, which are not completed and received, regardless of the cause for non-receipt.

  9. To enter the Competition entrants are required to buy any NIVEA® Pearl and Beauty® product and sign up on the NIVEA® Sign Up page barcode using the NIVEA® Pearl & Beauty® to stand a chance to win 1 (one) of 10 (ten) R1000.00 (one thousand rand) Lovisa Vouchers each.
  10. A Finalist Draw shall take place of which 50 (fifty) finalist shall be drawn from all the unique entrants with a valid barcode. This draw shall be a random draw.10
  11. The finalists drawn 11shall be sent an SMS requesting the drawn finalist to upload a picture of their till slip to the NIVEA® WhatsApp chatbot by the deadline date stated in the SMS.
  12. The till slips received by the Finalist by the deadline date will then be validated and all the valid till slips shall proceed to the draw where 10 (ten) eligible winners will be drawn for the prize 12

NIVEA® LUMINOUS630® "MONEY BACK CHALLENGE"

  1. These are the terms and conditions for the NIVEA® LUMINOUS630®" MONEY BACK CHALLENGE" (“the Challenge”).
  2. The promoter of the Challenge is Beiersdorf Consumer Products (Pty) Ltd (with registration number: 2000/010257/07), a company duly incorporated under the company laws of the Republic of South Africa and having its registered place of business situated at 4th Floor, Beacon Rock, 21 Lighthouse Road, Umhlanga Rocks, 4319 (“the Promoter”).
  3. The Challenge is open to South African citizens, 18 years and older, only and excludes the Promoter, the Promoter’s advertising and promotional agencies, any directors, members, partners, agents, employees or consultants of the Promoter, any supplier of goods or services in connection with the Challenge and the spouse, life partner, business partner or associate, parent, child, or sibling, of any of the persons specified aforesaid.
  4. The duration of the Challenge is from 09:00 on 20 June 2022 until 23:59 on 31 January 2023, as follows:
    1. purchasing of Qualifying Products, as set out in clause 5, from 09:00 on 20 June 2022 until 23:59 on 31 December 2022 .
    2. subject to the conditions set out in clause 6, to claim back money for purchasing of Qualifying Products from 1 August 2022 until 23:59 on 31 January 2023.
  5. The Qualifying Products are:
    1. NIVEA® PERFECT & RADIANT LUMINOUS630® ADVANCED TREATMENT SERUM 30 ML; and
    2. NIVEA® PERFECT & RADIANT LUMINOUS630® EXTRA PROTECTION DAY CREAM SPF 50 40 ML. The products are focused on reducing dark marks on the face caused mainly by sun exposure and hormonal problems.
  6. In order to participate in the Challenge, Participants cannot have or suffer from acne or acne scars, or any scaring whatsoever.
  7. Qualifying participants are required to –
    1. take a “before” photograph of his / her full face without makeup (date stamped) before commencing the Challenge; and
    2. purchase and use both Qualifying Products daily for 4 weeks (or until the product has been depleted as per usage instructions) following the product usage instructions for use to see results;
    3. keep the till slip as proof of purchase; and
    4. keep the empty Qualifying Product containers.
  8. In addition to purchasing the Qualifying Products to be eligible to enter the Challenge, qualifying participants may also purchase and use NIVEA® PERFECT & RADIANT LUMINOUS630® ANTI-DARK MARKS EYE TREATMENT and / or NIVEA® PERFECT & RADIANT LUMINOUS630® ADVANCED NIGHT CREAM for improved results. These additional products do not qualify for a refund, where applicable.
  9. In the event that despite using the Qualifying Products daily for 4 weeks (or until the product has been depleted as per usage instructions) following the product usage instructions, a qualifying participant does not feel satisfied with the products’ results, such participant may request a full refund for his purchase of the two Qualifying Products. In order to request a refund, the participant must send an email to nfeldon@mweb.co.za before the closing date of the Challenge, and the following must be included in such email:
    1. reasons why the participant believes the products did not achieve the desired results;
    2. a copy of the “before” full face photograph (refer clause 7.1 above);
    3. a copy of an “after” photograph of his / her full face without makeup (date stamped) within two (2) days of completing the Challenge;
    4. a copy of the till slip (refer clause 7.3 above); and
    5. clearly legible photographs of the empty Qualifying Product containers (refer clause 7.4 above).
  10. The refund will be subject to verifying that the Qualifying Products have been purchased within the Challenge purchase period (refer clause 4.1 above), as well as that the Qualifying Products have been used correctly, according to the instructions and indications of use of the same, and that the request is only made after 4 (four) weeks of having made the purchase. Refund requests will not be accepted where no minimum 4 weeks of use have elapsed after purchase (or until the product has been depleted as per usage instructions).
  11. A qualifying participant will be notified of the Promotor’s decision to refund such participant within 10 (ten) working days of receipt of a refund request, using the e-mail addressed used to request the refund. To effect a refund, the Promotor would require the participant’s ID Number, proof of residence and bank details. Once verified, a refund will be made into the participant’s bank account.
  12. In the event that a participant does not comply with these terms and conditions, such participant will not be refunded.
  13. In the event of (i) fraud by a participant, (ii) attempted fraud by a participant, (iii) bad faith by a participant, or (iv) a Participant failing to comply with the conditions set forth in these terms and conditions, such participant may be disqualified. In the event that the refund has already been deposited, the Promotor may revoke such deposit and take the necessary actions for the purposes of preventing and / or demanding the return of the money.
  14. Neither the Promoter nor its agents, distributors, nor any of the Promoter’s directors, officers, employees or agents shall be liable for any loss or damage, whether direct, indirect, consequential or otherwise, arising from any cause whatsoever, which may be suffered by the entrants in connection with this Challenge.
  15. The Promoter shall not be liable for any costs incurred by the participants.
  16. Participating Retailers shall not be liable for any refund to any participant in the Challenge.
